Consumer Tip

Avoid overspending and accumulating unwanted debt this holiday season by avoiding those marketing ploys designed to encourage unnecessary spending.

  • Sales: Don’t buy something you don’t need, just because it is a “bargain”.
  • Buy now, pay later schemes: This will just increase your debt. If you can’t afford it, don’t buy it.
  • Sweet aisles at the shop tills: Eat before you shop so you won’t be tempted to splurge on treats.
