Caring Families

The month of April is all about celebrating books. April 2 is International Children’s Book Day, and April 23 is World Book Day. Celebrate with your family by creating a new book-lover’s tradition. Visit a library or a bookstore together, read a book to each other or share your favourite stories with each other. This is a great way to encourage a love of books and sharing in young children, and also helps to create the sense of belonging that comes with quality family time.

Consumer Tip

Setting financial goals is an important part of financial health. Just as you would set a fitness or career goal, be sure to include financial goals in your planning.

Whether you want to pay off a loan, get rid of debt or start a savings account – set the goal and include it in your budget. When you need to renew your focus (or tighten your budget), your goals will remind you why you are making some sacrifices.
