Do you often find yourself spending money on something you didn’t plan to buy? Here are some smart tips to help you avoid impulse buying when you’re out at the shops:

  • Only take as much cash as you need
  • Always make a shopping list to follow
  • Leave any debit cards or credit cards at home
  • Shop with a ‘buying buddy’ who will help to keep you on track
  • Stick to a monthly budget, and include some monthly savings for ‘fun’ spending
