Support the women in your Life!

9th August is Women’s Day

Their inherent strength, resilience, and wisdom, provide the very foundation for our existence and they deserve our respect, appreciation, and support, every day.

What can you do?

Ensure respect. Do your bit to make sure the women in your community are respected physically and emotionally.

Assist with financial education. Encourage financial wellness with opportunities for saving, investments and independence to make decisions. Also that she may be empowered in the event of having to manage the family’s wellbeing.

Help at home. Share the load of household duties such as cooking, cleaning and family care. You live there too!

Be a role model. Show our children the right way to treat women by leading by example.

Show gratitude. Say thank you and find ways to show your appreciation for the roles that she plays for her family.

Be supportive. Stand by her side. Call out men that behave badly towards all women.

Be reliable. Let the women in your life know that they can trust and depend on you. You will enjoy the reward of her appreciation.

Be the change! Mind the company you keep. Protect them by keeping them safe from sexual, emotional and physical harm.

Be positive. Support kindness and positivity in your family. Happiness and smiling are contagious!

Let’s support all the women and girls to help create a safe space, with equal opportunities, pay and support. Take your stand. Be the change.

And women out there – remember, every time you stand up for yourself – you are standing up for all women!
